...Even in Australia."
Madeline has taken a new interest in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. She likes to apply this phrase to herself whenever anything goes awry in her world (which includes her own behaviors, just like in the book).
Yesterday, I asked her if she wanted to go to Hastings to pick up the new Sugarland CD, because we keep getting that "All I Want to Do-oo-oo-oo" song stuck in our heads. But, the only part of the song that Maddie knows is the "Do-oo-oo-oo" part. I told her that she needed to find her shoes because I hadn't had them.
"Mom, I just can't find them. This is a terrible, horrible, bad day, Mom."
"Well, those happen, Madeline, even in Australia. Now, find your shoes, please."
That's just one example.
